COLCHESTER, VT. – Dede Fogarty scored 17 points and dished out five assists while Megan Peper came off the bench to score 12 points and grab a career-high 12 rebounds as the Bryant women's basketball team overcame a slow start to earn a 61-59 win over Saint Michael's Wednesday evening.
Bryant (17-8, 12-8 NE-10) made just five of 30 field goal attempts in the first half and as a result, trailed at the break 27-13. But in the second half, the Bulldogs came alive, out-scoring the hosts 48-32 behind 51.4 percent shooting to pull out the win.
Jessie Weber added 10 points for Bryant. Saint Michael's (7-17, 4-16 NE-10), was led by Jevy Rayner's 13 points and 12 rebounds.
The Bulldogs, ranked No. 7 in this week's regional poll, will travel to Bentley on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The Falcons are ranked No. 4 in the region.
