Manchester, N.H. — Bryant University used a balanced scoring attacked to defeat Saint Anselm by a score of 19-10 in a Northeast-10 Conference game played at Southern N.H. University Wednesday afternoon.
After Saint Anselm grabbed a 2-1 lead early in the action, Bryant scored seven of the next eight goals to take charge. The Hawks then scored a pair to pull within 8-5 but Bryant reeled off three straight to win going away.
With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 3-1 overall, 1-1 in the NE-10 while Saint Anselm dips to 1-3 overall, 0-2 NE-10.
Four different Bulldogs scored at least three goals, led by Lauren Carlisle's five goals and one assist. Shaun Leddy and Melissa Talimini each had four goals, and Amanda Gallant added three goals and a game-high five assists for eight points. Maureen Burns added 10 ground balls and four draw controls.
In goal, Samantha Libby stopped 11 shots including all three she faced on free position shots to earn the win (3-1).
For the Hawks, Lauren Glancy (Scituate, Mass./ Scituate) led the way with three goals, nine ground balls and four draw controls. Jillian Colonese (Guilford, Conn./ Guilford) had one goal and two assists in support while Tiea Kurlowecz (Concord, Mass./ Concord-Carlisle) led the way defensively with 10 ground balls.
