Women's Soccer takes the Offensive with a 5-0 win over Wilmington Saturday

New Castle, DE - The Bryant University women's soccer team had a successful road trip with two wins to open the season. After winning on Friday with a 3-0 score over Holy Family, the Bulldogs beat Wilmington 5-0.

The Bulldogs wasted little time getting on the board, as Tricia Spada (Dedham, MA) connected with a corner kick just four minutes into the game. Bryant answered back at the 17:00 mark, when Casey Grange (Methuen, MA) connected off a nice pass from Tricia Spada on a fast break opportunity. The Bulldogs closed out the first half when Jennifer Mansilla (Califon, NJ)put an Amy Orzechowski (Milford, CT)corner kick in the back of the net.


Bryant continued their offensive pressure through much of the second half as well. Diane Pascale (Plymouth, MA) placed a beautiful header in the net off a Casey Grange corner kick. The Bulldogs closed out their scoring when Sara Vienneau connected on an unassisted goal with twenty minutes left in the period.


Jessica Neales (Swansea, MA) was credited with her second victory as she made two saves in the first half for Bryant. Ashley Krapels closed out the game in net for the Bulldogs and made one save.
