BRYANT MEN FALL TO MERRIMACK, 73-57

NORTH ANDOVER, MA - Sophomore guard Jon Ezeokoli scored
13 points but it was not enough as the Bryant men's
basketball team fell to Merrimack College, 73-57 Tuesday
night. The Bulldogs drops to 9-5 on the season with the loss
and 4-5 in the Northeast-10 Conference. Merrimack improved to 8-6
overall (6-3 NE-10).
The Bulldogs trailed Merrimack, 37-26 at the half and shot just
38.6 percent from the floor, including 20 percent from three-point
range. Nate Sudlow had 11 points while freshman Nick Pontes had 10
as the Merrimack defense held Bryant leading scorer John Williams
(18.9 ppg) to just nine points in the game.
Merrimack, behind 20 points from Kenny Jones, shot 41.4 percent
from the floor in the game and made 18 of 19 free throws.
Bryant will travel to Assumption on Saturday for a 3:30 pm game.
