BULLDOGS RALLY BACK TO DEFEAT MERRIMACK TUESDAY

NORTH ANDOVER, MA - The Bryant women's basketball team posted a
64-59 win over Merrimack College Tuesday night in North Andover,
using a strong second-half performance to pull out the key
Northeast-10 Conference victory.
The Bulldogs trailed by nine at the half, 33-24 and fell behind by
as much as 15 in the second half, but closed out the game scoring
the final 12 points of the contest to earn the win.
With the game tied 59-59 with just over a minute left, Joanna Skiba
hit a running jumper to put the Bulldogs ahead, 61-59 with 25
seconds left as Merrimack was held without a field goal in the
final four minutes.
Shannon Perry (left) led the way for the Bulldogs with another big
game, scoring 24 points and grabbing 15 rebounds as Bryant improved
to 7-7 overall (2-7 Northeast-10).
Perry was 7-for-10 shooting from the floor and made 10 of 14 free
throw attempts. Erin Murphy had 12 points and eight rebounds
while Lauren Rubenoff had 8 points and 12 rebounds.
Bryant will travel to Assumption on Saturday for a 1:30 pm
game.
