Worcester, Mass. - The Bryant
University Women's Soccer team shutout the Assumption Greyhounds
3-0 Saturday in Worcester, Mass.
Casey Grange (Methuen, Mass.) tied a school
record for most goals in a season (13) and in a career (34), when
she scored Bryant's third goal of the game in the 86th
minute. Grange took a Daisy Martinez (Eliot, ME)
pass and buried it past Greyhound goaltender Lauren Matysiak from
20 yards out.
Diane Pascale (Plymouth, Mass.) scored the
first goal of the match, her sixth of the year, heading in a
Danielle Malta (Bethel, Conn.) indirect kick in
the tenth minute.
In the 26th minute, freshman Alex Dipippo
(Shelton, Conn.) scored her first collegiate goal, when
she took a Grange pass and kicked in the upper right corner of the
net.
The Bulldogs outshot Assumption 18-5 in the match.
Jeesica Neales (Swansea, Mass.) stopped three
shots for her third shutout of the season.
Bryant (9-6-1, 6-4-1 NE-10) hosts Holy Family Sunday (noon).
