Smithfield, R.I. - The Bryant
Women's Basketball suffered a disappointing defeat at the hands of
Southern New Hampshire, losing 76-70 Saturday afternoon at the
Chace Center.
With the loss, the Bulldogs have dropped two in a row and are
5-3 overall and 3-3 in the Northeast-10.
Joanna Skiba (Providence, RI) led the Bulldogs
with 23 points in 35 minutes. She scored 17 in the first half and
made four from behind the arc.
Both teams exchanged leads throughout the second half, but the
Penmen took control with five minutes to play after Stephanie
Houghton drained a three and was fouled on the play. She converted
the free throw to give her team the four-point lead.

Penmen made every free throw they attempted down the stretch. They
shot 83.3% from the line while the Bulldogs struggled, shooting
only 54%.
Coming off the bench for the first time all season, freshman
Kelsey O'Keefe (Warren, Mass.) tallied a
career-high 15 rebounds but was only 5-for-16 from the field,
scoring 11 points. Lynne-Ann Kokoski (Hatfield,
Mass.) added 13 points and six assists off the bench in 31
minutes. After scoring a career-high 23 points at Bentley on
Tuesday, senior Lauren Rubenoff (New Hartford,
Conn.) spent most of the game in foul trouble. She scored
four points in just 14 minutes.
Houghton led the Penmen with 17 points while Julia Houghtaling
added 16 and 10 rebounds.
The Bulldogs will head to 15th-ranked Stonehill
Wednesday for a 5:30 p.m. game.
