MEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO BARRY, 9-0 SUNDAY

MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The eighth-ranked Barry Buccaneers cruised to a 9-0 win over the Bryant Bulldogs 9-0 Sunday at the Buccaneer Tennis Center on Sunday.

The Bucs (4-1) breezed through the match in under two hours. The Bucs' top tandem of Thomas Hipp and Patrick Rittenauer, ranked number one in the country, easily brushed past the Bryant (1-1) duo of Craig Drushella and Sean Authier 8-0.  At number two, Roman Werschel and Martin Jensen defeated Al Duro and Mike Pickowicz 8-1, while at the third position, Manuel Lauter and Dirk Benninghaus took care of Zach Goodman and Ben Caisse 8-2.

In singles, Lauter took care of Duro 6-0, 6-1 at the fifth spot and number two Patrick Rittenauer knocked off Authier 6-2, 6-2. Number one Hipp beat Drushella 6-0, 6-0, while Dirk Benninghaus shut down Caisse 6-0, 6-0 at number four. Andrew Thornton posted a 6-0, 6-2 win over Pickowicz, at the number six slot, while Werschel closed it out at number three 6-0, 6-0 over Goodman.
