Softball Splits Double-Header with Saint Rose
Rotterdam, NY - The Bryant softball team split a pair of games
on Saturday with Saint Rose. The Bulldogs lost the first game 3-1
and the rallied to win the second game 14-1 in five innings. Bryant
is now 3-9 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
In game one, the Golden Knights scored an unearned run in the
bottom of the first and then added a run in the third and fourth to
win the game 3-1. Sophomore Victorie Duane (West Haven,
CT) knocked in the only Bulldog run.
In game two, the Bulldog bats were alive and hot as Bryant
scored four runs in the top of the first including a three-run
homerun by senior Jordan Dargon (Trumbull, CT).
Dargon finished the game 3-3 with three runs and five RBI's. Junior
Amanda Gagne (Wilbraham, MA) hit a solo homerun in
the second and took a 6-0 lead.
The Bulldogs would put the game out of reach in the third
scoring eight runs to take a 14-0 lead. They would win the game
14-1. Freshman Kate Thomas (Bedford, NH) had
a two-run homerun and finished the game 2-4 with three RBI's.
Jessica Valentini (Cliffside Park, NJ) added three
hits and scored a run for the Bulldogs.
