Bryant Men's Basketball Loses to
Merrimack 73-52
NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. - The
Bryant University Men's Basketball team saw its two-game winning
streak snapped by the Merrimack Warriors by a score of 73-52
Wednesday night in a Northeast-10 Conference game at the Volpe
Center.
Nate Sudlow (Brooklyn, NY) led the Bulldogs
with eight points, as no Bulldog registered double figures in the
defeat.
Bryant went into the locker room at halftime trailing 37-25.
They committed 13 turnovers, while the Warriors shot 43% from the
field. Gerry Corcoran led all scorers in the first stanza
with 11 points, while senior Jon Ezeokoli (South Orange,
N.J.) and sophomore Orlando Baeza
(Palmdale, CA) both tallied seven for the Bulldogs.
A suffocating defense, coupled with 11 three-pointers by the
Warriors in the game, erased any chance for a Bryant comeback in
the second half.
Merrimack (3-10, 2-6 NE-10) led by as much as 21 in the second
half.
Bryant (7-5, 5-4 NE-10) returns to the Chace Center Saturday and
will host Saint Rose at 3:30 p.m.
