GARDEN CITY, NY - Bryant guard Jon Ezeokoli (South Orange, NJ) scored a game-high 18 points on 6 of 18 shooting from the floor to lead the Bryant men's basketball team to a 51-50 win over Adelphi in non-conference action Friday evening at Woodruff Hall.

With the game tied, 50-50, Adelphi had a chance to take the lead in the final minutes, but a turnover by Alvin Vivican gave the ball back to the Bulldogs with 27 seconds left. Working for the final shot, Ezeokoli was fouled by Adelphi's Chris Diasparra with 2 seconds remaining, sending the senior to the line.  Ezeokoli missed the first attempt but calmly sank the second, giving the Bulldogs a thrilling come from behind win.

Bryant (5-5) trailed 24-20 at the half, but took its first lead of the second on a layup by Ezeokoli just five minutes into the second stanza.  A Jerrann Wright (Cincinnati, OH) jumper with 8:10 left gave the Bulldogs their largest lead, 43-36 lead with eight minutes remaining but Adelphi would rally as two free throws from Sky Khaleel tied the game at 49-49 with just under two minutes remaining.

Adelphi (5-4) entered the game ranked 13th nationally in scoring defense allowing just 59.1 points per game, but the Bulldogs managed to pull out the win shooting 40 percent from the floor for the game and knocking down 7 of 15 three-point field goal attempts (46.7 percent).

Wright finished with 8 points on 4 of 6 shooting from the floor and the junior added an impressive 9 rebounds and five assists. Cecil Gresham (Bloomfield, CT) added 9 points.

Adelphi was led by Richard Byrd's 10 points in the game.

The Bulldogs will return to action hosting the Bryant Holiday Classic at the Chace Athletic Center Dec. 28-29.  Bryant will face Post University (CT) on Friday the 28th at 5 pm and will host Philadelphia Saturday at 7 pm.
