DONDERO NAMED TO 2008 NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE
ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
SMITHFIELD, RI -- Senior designated hitter Mark Dondero
(Medfield, Mass.) was selected to the 2008 Northeast-10
Conference All-Academic Baseball Team for his work on the diamond
and in the classroom as announced by the conference Tuesday,
April 22.
The three-year Bulldog starter is hitting .295 in 32 appearances
this season, primarily at designated hitter, and has seven doubles
and a pair of home runs. Dondero has collected 20 RBI on the
season, scoring 19 runs with a .419 slugging percentage.
The communications major and marketing minor is 3-for-5 in
stolen base attempts on the season and has a .375 on-base
percentage.
To be eligible for selection to the academic teams,
a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum
requirements: 1) participated in at least half of the team's
competitions and be either a starter or significkant contributor;
2) achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale);
and 3) completed at least one academic year at his/her current
institution.
