WOMEN'S TENNIS COMPETES AT NEW ENGLAND
CHAMPIONSHIPS
RESULTS
FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Bryant University women's tennis team
took part in the 2009 England Women's Tennis Championships at
Fairfield and Sacred Heart Universities over the weekend.
Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Dana
Tausek who advanced to the second round of the fourth
flight with an 8-4 win over Providence's Mel Albert. Tausek
would fall to Delaney Downing of Fairfield in the second
round. Also earning a victory in the first round was
Irma Rodriguez-Lockwood in Flight 5 and
Katie McCabe at Flight 6. Rodriguez-Lockwood
downed Kylie Waddington of Merrimack 8-1 while McCabe pulled out a
strong win over Kristin Legenza of Sacred Heart, 8-3.
