SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant University women's swimming team has achieved Scholar All-American status by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. The association presents the Team Scholar All-American award to college and university swimming and diving teams who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
The Bulldogs, coming off a brilliant performance at the Northeast Conference Championships where 17 new school record were set and coach Katie Cameron and sophomore Casey Ostrander were named Coach and Swimmer of the Year respectively, achieved a 3.01 cumulative grade point average for the fall semester (2010).
The Bulldogs will wrap up the 2010-11 season this weekend at the ECAC Championships at the University of Pittsburgh.
