SMITHFIED, R.I. – The Bryant University women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Akron Friday night as the Bulldogs dropped all six singles matches in straight sets to the Zips on the campus of Brown University.

In No. 1 singles, Sophomore Claudia Hidalgo (Guayaquil, Ecuador) put up a strong effort in the second set but could not complete the comeback, falling to Zara Harutyunyan, 1-6, 5-7.
