FULL GAME NOTES
ON TAP AT THE CHACE ATHLETIC CENTER
The Bryant University women's basketball team will look to snap a four-game skid when it welcomes the University of New Hampshire to Smithfield for a Sunday afternoon showdown with the Wildcats. Tip is set for 1 p.m.
SERIES HISTORY
Sunday will mark just the second meeting between the two schools in Bryant's six-year Division I history with the Bulldogs holding the 1-0 edge in the all-time series.
The lone matchup came on Nov. 14, 2008 in Bryant's first game as a Division I institution. The Black and Gold buried multiple clutch free throws in the final seconds of the contest to secure a 69-66 win over the Wildcats.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
New Hampshire enters Sunday's action with a 3-2 overall mark, coming off a 63-58 victory over Colgate on Monday, which snapped the Wildcats' two-game slide. Selected to finish fourth in the 2013-14 America East Preseason Poll, UNH is led by junior center Corinne Coia's 13.2 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game. Sitting just below Coia is senior guard Kelsey Hogan who boasts 11.8 ppg, while junior forward Kaylee Kilpatrick puts up 8.2 ppg and a team-best 9.2 rpg. As a team, New Hampshire averages just under 55 points per contest, compared to Bryant's 66 ppg.
The Wildcats enter Sunday's contest with a 1-1 record on the road, topping NJIT on Nov. 13, 53-40, before dropping a nail-biter to Central Connecticut on Nov. 20, 53-52.
