FULL GAME NOTES
ON TAP AT LEEDE ARENA
The Bryant University women's basketball team will look to snap a two-game skid when it heads to Hanover, N.H. for a showdown with Dartmouth, Tuesday at 7 p.m.. The Bulldogs look to close out the final month of non-conference play on a winning note before opening league play on Jan. 4.
SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday will mark the sixth all-time meeting between the two schools with the Big Green holding a commanding 4-1 advantage in the series dating back to the 2008-09 season. The Ivy Leaguers took the first three matchups during Bryant's transitional years with the Black and Gold picking up their first win over Dartmouth, 63-45, during the 2011-12 season on the road.
Last year in an aggressive game that included 41 fouls, the Bulldogs forced 19 turnovers, scoring 18 points off their defensive pressure. The Big Green, however, held Bryant to only 30 percent shooting from the field to secure a 64-53 victory in both squad's season opener.
SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
Dartmouth enters Tuesday's action with a 1-6 overall mark, looking to snap a five-game losing streak dating back to Nov. 14. Most recently, the Big Green struggled to find the basket in a 54-37 loss to New Hampshire on Saturday. Dartmouth shot just 24 percent from the field and was held to just 14 first half points.
Despite the struggles, freshman wing Fanni Szabo has shined during her first season in Hanover, putting up 18.3 points per game, second best in the Ivy League. Senior Nicola Zimmer averages 9.3 ppg, while sophomore Lakin Roland puts up 8 ppg, rounding out the Dartmouth scoring leaders.
