SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Sophomore Ben Schulte (Tumon, Guam) won three events and Tavish Boyle (Springfield, N.J.) captured two others as the Bryant University men's swimming and diving team defeated Colgate, 166-95, Saturday night at the Chace Athletic Center.
The Bulldogs have now won three-straight dual meets and defeated the Raiders in the first all-time meeting between the two schools.
Schulte won three events for the second-straight night as he claimed the 200 free, 500 free and the 200 IM. Boyle won the 100 breast and 200 breast again, and finished second behind Schulte in the 200 IM.
Bryant also received first-place finishes from Shane Vyskocil (Parsippany, N.J.), Pierre Le Guyader (East Islip, N.Y.) and Zachary Hannon (Marlborough, Conn.). Vyskocil won the 200 fly and finished second in the 200 breast, Le Guyader won the 50 free and Hannon claimed the 100 fly. Colin Curtin (Wethersfield, Conn.) also enjoyed a strong meet, finishing second in both back events.
The Bulldogs return to the pool next Saturday when they host Iona on Halloween at the Chace Athletic Center
