Men's swim & dive performs well on opening night of WPI Invite

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's swimming and diving team competed in the 800 free relay, the 1650 free and synchronized diving on the first night of the WPI Invitational Friday in Worcester.

The Bulldogs are currently in second with 587 points. Host WPI leads the 13-team field with 746 points.

Bryant's quartet of Ben Schulte (Tumon, Guam), Robert Davis (Glastonbury, Conn.), Oliver French (Nashua, N.H.) and Colin Curtin (Wethersfield, Conn.) finished fourth in the 800 free relay with a time of 7:01.04.

French was Bryant's top finisher in the 1650 free as well, finishing 13th with a time of 17:16.91.

In the 25m synchronized diving, Zach Vogel (South Easton, Mass.) and Kevin Sullivan (East Lyme, Conn.) teamed up to finish second.
