SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Artur Jakubowski (Dallas, Texas) of the Bryant University men's tennis team was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the week, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon.

The freshman won a pair of No. 5 singles matches as the Bulldogs swept Sacred Heart and Wagner to end the regular season a perfect 3-0 in NEC play, helping the team to earn the top seed in this weekend's NEC Championship. The Dallas, TX native posted a 6-2, 6-4 win over SHU's Mathieu Pilote and a 6-4, 6-4 triumph over Wagner's Allen Wang. Jakubowski leads Bryant with 12 singles wins on the year.
