BURLINGTON, VT. – The Bryant University women's basketball team fell to the Catamounts 56-49 in the Quarterfinals of the America East tournament.

Mariona Planes Fortuny posted 14 points and nine boards. Kemari Reynolds recorded 10 points and three assists.

• The Catamounts came out on fire, opening the game on an 8-0 run, forcing the Bulldogs to call a timeout four minutes into the contest.
• The Black and Gold responded with a 10-0 run to take the lead, which was caused by three Vermont turnovers, two threes courtesy of Nicole Gallagher and Alana Perkins. Fortuny got her first bucket of the contest on a step back (10-8).
• UVM countered with a 5-2 run, making the score 15-12 after one.
• The Catamounts jumped on a 16-3 run, making the deficit 16 at the second quarter media timeout (31-15). Fortuny hit a free throw, and Reynolds converted an up and under on a baseline drive.

• Bryant held the Catamounts scoreless and tallied five, which was capped off by a Kiefer three before the media timeout (46-43).
• UVM countered with a 5-0 run (51-43), increasing their lead to eight with 3:28 remaining.
• The Bulldogs ended the game on a 6-5 run en route to a 56-49 defeat.
