Bulldogs Host First Place Binghamton on Saturday for Senior Day

SMITHFIELD. R.I.- The Bryant University women's lacrosse team will look for three straight conference wins this Saturday when they host Binghamton at Beirne Stadium at noon. The Bulldogs will be honoring their nine seniors and grad students prior to the game.

Bryant enters the game with a 2-1 conference record, third in the America East and one game behind 3-0 Binghamton for the top spot. A Bryant win and UAlbany loss to UMBC would put the Bulldogs and Bearcats in a tie for first with two conference games remaining.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Kenna Kaut was named America East Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after tying a season and career high with eight goals in Bryant's win over UMBC last weekend. She is the nation's runner-up in goals with 46 in ten games.

  • Emily Oliver and Skylar Simmonds each had five points on two goals and three assists against the Retrievers. They are both in the top ten in America East in points, along with Kaut and Chamberlaine Bell.

  • Ashlyn Watkins has won back-to-back games in goal after being inserted into the starting role two weeks ago against UMass Lowell. She has recorded 16 saves on a 50% save percentage in that span.

  • The Bulldogs enter Saturday ninth in the country with 7.90 assists per game. Bell and Oliver are 1-2 in the America East in assists and both rank Top-15 nationally.

Scouting the Bearcats

  • Binghamton is off to a 3-0 record in America East play and has won six in a row overall. They hold wins over Pittsburgh and Cornell in addition to an 11-10 triumph over conference preseason #1 Vermont last time out.

  • Player to Watch: Sophomore defender Angelina Suau is second in the America East and 13th nationally with 2.17 caused turnovers per game, and her 2.83 ground balls per game are third most in the conference.

  • The Bulldogs and Bearcats will be facing off for the first time ever on Saturday.
