SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's swimming and diving team started its season with a victory over Fairfield at Chace Pool, finishing with a final score of 167-133. This was the first time Fairfield competed at Bryant in over ten years, creating a lively atmosphere for the home team's opening meet.

Notes and Notables:

• Marcella Figueroa anchored both the 200 medley relay and the 400 free relay, leading the Bulldogs to a victory in the 400 free relay. She also claimed first place in the 50 free with a time of 24.34.
• Jill Carline, Addison Abreu and Charlee LeGallais joined Figueroa to close out the 400 free relay victory.
• Amanda Witkus took first place in the 200 fly and finished second in the 100 fly in her first meet as a Bulldog.
• Ruby Tonelli secured a win in the 100 fly and placed second in the 200 fly.
• Jacqui Fox placed second in both the 100 back and 200 back.
• Makayla Pearce dominated the long-distance events, taking first in both the 1000 free (10:36.78) and 500 free (5:15.32).
• Jill Carline grabbed a victory in the 200 free with a time of 1:57.96.
• Megan Beasley contributed to the Bulldogs' success by winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events.
• Dalena Tran placed second in the 3 meter.
