Men's Basketball falls to St. Bonaventure on Sunday

Box Score St. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The Bryant men's basketball team fell to St. Bonaventure, 85-70, on Sunday afternoon at the Reilly Center.

With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 3-3 on the year. Bryant has now split the first four games on its season-long stretch of seven-straight away from the Chace. The Black and Gold will now head to Chattanooga, Tenn., for a pair of games on Tuesday and Wednesday in the Coke Classic.

Earl Timberlake led four in double figures with a season-high 17 points. He added seven rebounds and three assists. Barry Evans and Connor Withers each finished with 14 points and six boards, while Rafael Pinzon chipped in 13 points. Kvonn Cramer added eight points and seven boards off the bench.

  • Bryant jumped out to a 7-2 lead as Evans finished in transition and Pinzon swished a wing three.
  • SBU answered behind Melvin Council Jr. who scored 14 points in the first 12 minutes. He hit back-to-back threes to give the Bonnies a 23-13 lead.
  • Evans would keep Bryant close with consecutive threes but the Bonnies led 37-23 at the under-8 media.
  • The Bonnies would push their lead to 20, 45-25, with 5:07 left.
  • Bryant, however, answered with a 15-1 run to close the half.
  • Withers hit a pair of threes to ignite the rally and Farris put an exclamation point on it with a breakaway slam. Farris' slam was setup by a great block on the other end by Timberlake.
