Bryant falls to UML during pitchers duel in elimination game

ORONO, ME. – The Bryant University softball team fell to UMass Lowell 2-1 in an elimination game on Friday.

Kylie Kenney tallied eleven strikeouts, giving up five hits. She finishes her career with 376 strikeouts, tying her with Elle Madsen for the most in DI program history.

Key Moment

  • The Bulldogs didn't score a run until the bottom of the seventh inning.

How it Happened

  • In the top of the third inning. UML hit a double to the gap, which led to a sacrifice fly (1-0).
  • The Riverhawks scored their second run on a bunt single with one out (2-0).
  • Hannah Cochran hit a solo home run with one out to get the Bulldogs within one run (2-1). The Black and Gold then recorded back-to-back outs, ending the game.
