COACH GARLACY'S COMMENTS
"We really kept the service pressure on Seton Hall this morning which led to some easy points. Our padding game was super consistent and we were able to run our middles frequently."

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Set 1- The Bulldogs were able to open up an early lead on the Pirates thanks to excellent plays from their middles as London Hunt and Brookelyn Talmadge combined for 8 kills and 2 blocks in the set. Melis Isik also showed incredible poise as she landed a service and expanded her skillset with a kill of her own. Carrina Barron would close out the first for Bryant with an ace as the Bulldogs would win 25-19.
  • Set 2- Bryant would continue their success into the second set as Aubrey LaPour would start to get more involved in the offense. The senior outside hitter picked up 3 kills in the set to go along with Hunt's 5. Bryant would hold a lead as large as 7 but Seton Hall would narrow the gap towards the end. A kill from Arianna Ugolini would help close out the 2nd and but Bryant up 2-0.
  • Set 3- The Black and Gold dominated early in the third set; getting out to a 7-0 lead in part thanks to three consecutive service aces from Carolina Camacho. However the Pirates would rally back and get it to within a one point game. From there the Bulldogs would go on a critical 9-4 run that would spoil any chance of a Seton Hall comeback. The score of the final set would be identical to the previous two, with the Bulldogs winning 25-19.
