Volleyball to heads to Worcester to face Holy Cross

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The Bryant women's volleyball team heads back on the road this Wednesday for a midweek matchup against Holy Cross. First serve in Worcester is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

Aubrey LaPour was named the America East conference player of the week after helping the Bulldogs go 3-1 in their matches last week. Across those matches, LaPour led the league with an average of 3.8 kills per set to go along with a .341 hitting percentage. She also was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2024 Ocean State Cup.
Carrina Barron and Carolina Camacho both were named to the 2024 Ocean State Cup All-Tournament Team this weekend
Barron had a remarkable weekend for Bryant in the Ocean State Cup. In the tournament finale against Providence, she would record 23 digs, 8 assists, and 4 service aces.
Camacho shined for Bryant in the tournament as well. Against URI she had 33 assists and 14 digs and in the tournament's finale against Providence, she posted 24 assists and 10 digs.
London Hunt leads the America East in hitting percentage (.448).
Fabi Castro is second in the conference for total service aces with 12.

Scouting the Crusaders

Holy Cross enters Wednesday at 1-5 on the season. Their last outing saw them fall to Abilene Christian in three sets.
Gracie Reisman and Abbie Lane lead the Crusader offense this season with over 60 kills each.
The primary setter for Holy Cross has been Katie Russell. In 20 sets so far this season, Russell has tallied 92 assists.
The defense for Holy Cross has been anchored by Lauren Halverson and Rian Millership as they are tied for the team lead in blocks with 17 each.
Gabby Wold has led the Crusaders in the service game with 7 total aces this year.
