Bulldogs Notes and Notables

  • Michael Otty leads the CAA in tackles for loss with 11.5 and ranks seventh in FCS. He has tallied a TFL in all but one game and also has five sacks this year.
  • Elijah Elliott recorded his second of two rushing touchdowns and 100+ yards on the ground as a Bulldog. He is seventh in the conference with 467 yards rushing and ninth in TDs with five.
  • Lonnie Rice tallied his third game of 11+ tackles and had a career-high 1.5 sacks against the Bears. He already has a career-high 57 tackles this season.
  • Brandon Perkins posted his third game of ten-plus tackles and second consecutive versus Brown. He is ninth in the CAA in total tackles with 62.
  • Dorian Helm and Sean Hunt made their presence known against Brown, Helm recorded his first career interception, and Hunt posted a career-high ten tackles.
  • Zyheem Collick had his fifth game of 50+ yards and a career-high seven receptions. He is tenth in yards with 427 and also leads the team.

A bit about the Rams

  • URI heads into Saturday with a 6-2 record and a 4-0 CAA record and is currently on a two-game winning streak.
  • Devin Farrell and AJ Pena were named the CAA Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Farrell has tallied 2,467 yards and 14 passing TDs, which both rank second in the CAA. Pena is tied for the conference lead in sacks with seven.
  • The Rams defense are top of the CAA, holding opponents to 21.3 points per game and 320.3 yards per game.
  • Marquis Buchanan leads the team with 746 yards receiving, ranking second in the conference.
