BOSTON, Mass. –
Arianna Ugolini was selected as the America East Player of the Year by the conference on Wednesday afternoon. She's now the first player to receive a Player of the Year award in the Division I era for Bryant.
Ugolini was also selected to the First Team All-Conference for the third consecutive season. She leads the conference in kills (402), service aces (43), and points (459). Ugolini surpassed 1,000 career kills and points this season. She's the fifth player in Bryant Division I history to eclipse 1,000 kills.
Brookelyn Talmadge was selected to the Second Team All-Conference for the first time in her career. She leads the conference in hitting percentage (.419) and leads the team in total blocks (71.0). Talmadge has also recorded 177 kills this season.
Kaitlin Curran and
Ruth Ochelli were selected to the All-Rookie Team. Curran ranks fifth in the conference in service aces (32) and ranks second on the team in kills (196). She's coming off an impressive performance against NJIT, tallying 11 kills and hitting .786 with no errors. Ochelli ranks third on the team in kills (193) and has recorded 20 kills twice this season (9/19 vs. Harvard, 11/7 at Binghamton).

The Bulldogs take on the UAlbany Great Danes on Friday night in the America East semifinal round. First serve is at 8:00 PM.
