NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. – Dawson Rielly tallied five goals and four players would record hat-tricks on Saturday to help the Bryant men's lacrosse team to a dominant 19-4 over the Merrimack Warriors.
The win moves the Black and Gold to 1-1 on the year. Bryant returns to the field next Saturday (Feb. 22) when it visits Quinnipiac.
Dawson Rielly led the Bulldogs with six points (5g, 1a). Senior transfer
Brian Russell recorded his first hat-trick with the Black and Gold after posting three goals against his former team.
Patrick Walsh recorded his second straight hat-trick (3g, 1a).
Kyle Fedorcha scored a career high three goals for his first career hat-trick.
Zac Amend tallied four points which included the first two goals of his collegiate career. Jack Lonsinger finished with four points of his own (1g, 3a).
Scott Einarson stopped 13 shots and
JJ Murphy won 11-of-16 faceoffs, finishing with seven ground balls.

- Sophomore Kyle Fedorcha tallied his first goal of the season after bouncing in a shot from the right side of the crease at 10:08 in the first.
- Jack Lonsinger passed the ball from behind goal to Walsh who placed it in the top left corner of the cage for his second score of the afternoon at 9:34 in the first.
- At 8:21 in the first, Brian Russell would range to his right, slipping past Merrimack's Matthew Cranney and tally his first goal of the day off a sidearm shot.
- The Bulldogs carried their offensive showcase into the second quarter, getting on the board early via Zac Amend's first career goal at 12:44. The freshman attacker would find the net after juking past Warriors defender Brendan Wyka and finding an open lane on the left side.
- Dawson Rielly would have an uncontested run to the cage and scored his first goal of the day at 12:08 in the second quarter.
- Kyle Fedorcha netted his second goal of the game just seconds later after sneaking a shot past the top right corner at 11:54.
- Bryant defender Drew Lucas helped create some offense after assisting on Russell's second goal of the day. Russell would rifle home a shot from ten yards out at 8:19 in the second.
- Rielly raced from behind the goal and found an angle on the right side for his second score of the quarter with 6:04 to play in the first half.
- The Warriors eventually broke the Bulldogs shutout with 3:28 in the second quarter as Ryan Cowan would score an unassisted goal.
- Walsh was the first Bulldog to secure a hat-trick on the day. He would do so after weaving between a pair of defenders and bouncing in a shot from directly above the crease at 14:25.
- Rielly tallied his third score of the day; sidearming a shot from 15 yards out at 12:56.
