How It Happened

Quarter 1:
The visiting Big Green jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead but the Bulldogs would answer with goals from Emily DeGeorge and Kaelynn O'Briend nearly two minutes apart to give the hosts a 2-1 lead.  But Dartmouth would rattle off three straight to take a 4-2 lead after the first quarter of play.

Quarter 2:

Elise Larsen opened the second quarter with an unassisted goal to pull the Bulldogs to within a goal at 4-3, but the Big Green would answer with a pair of goals before senior Amelia Piercy found the back of the net with 58 seconds left to pull the Bulldogs to within 6-4 at the half.

Quarter 3:

Dartmouth's defense stepped up in the second half, holding the Bulldogs scoreless in the third as Samantha Bennett and Mia Puccio scored for the Big Green to stretch Dartmouth's lead to 8-4 heading into the final quarter.

Quarter 4:

In the final quarter, three-consecutive goals from Catherine Erb in a four-minute span put the game away.  Kaelynn O'Brien scored her second goal of the game with four minutes remaining. O'Brien played a tremendous game for the Bulldogs.  In addition to notching her first two goals of the year, the sophomore added four ground balls and five caused turnovers for the Bulldogs.

Notes and Notables:
  • Kaelynn O'Brien tallied her first two goals of the season, the first coming off a Dartmouth turnover as the sophomore picked up the ground ball and raced in from midfield to beat the Big Green goalkeeper.
  • Emily DeGeorge picked up her team-best 20th goal of the season.
