How it Happened
- The Bulldogs and Black Knights went back and forth in the first quarter, with Bryant earning a slight 12-10 edge. Mimi Rubino and Mia Mancini hit one from deep.
- The Black and Gold went on a 14-7 run in the first six minutes of the second quarter, taking a nine-point lead (26-17). Mancini scored ten during the run, including back-to-back three-pointers.
- Army closed the first half on a 5-2 run, resulting in a 28-22 halftime lead for the Bulldogs.
- The Black and Gold then came out on fire to start the second half, tallying a 19-4 run and creating a 21-point lead (47-26) with four minutes remaining in the quarter. Rubino had five, and Mancini hit two from beyond the arc.
- The Black Knights responded with a 16-0 run to end the third quarter, taking a 47-42 lead.
- Bryant tallied a 6-0 run in the first two minutes of the final quarter, taking a 53-44 lead.
- Army would respond with a 12-3 run, tying the game at 56 with two and a half remaining.
- Nia Scott was fouled on the next possession and made both free throws, regaining the lead for Bryant (58-56).
