Box Score 2 LOWELL, Mass. – Carlos Martinez drove in five runs in game one and Conor Kelly's walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth in game two completed a doubleheader sweep for UMass Lowell over the Bryant baseball team on Friday at LeLacheur Park.
The Bulldogs fall to 10-14-1 overall and 1-4 in America East with the losses. Bryant has now dropped each of its first two league series this season. Game three is tentatively scheduled for Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

How it Happened (Gm 1)
- UMass Lowell jumped out to a 5-0 lead, scoring three times in the first and twice in the third. In the first, Martinez delivered a two-strike, two-out, two-run single to open the scoring and an infield error scored the third run.
- In the third, Fish tripled home a run and Donahue made it 5-0 with an RBI double.
- Bryant then scored the next six runs to take a 6-5 lead. In the fourth, three-straight hits culminated in an RBI single from Brandyn Durand. A fielder's choice ground out scored the second run and a Zac Zyons safety squeeze made it 5-3.
- The Black and Gold grabbed the lead with three runs in the top of the fifth. An infield error put runners on the corners with no outs and Pat D'Amico doubled home a run to make it 5-4. Two batters later, Drew Wyers gave Bryant the lead with a two-run single through the left side.
- UML quickly answered, scoring five runs in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead for good. A leadoff double and a walk setup Martinez who laced a three-run home run just inside the right field pole to make it 8-6. The River Hawks would tack on two more in the inning with a pair of RBI singles.
- UML then put the game away with five more runs in the sixth, making it 15-6.

- D'Amico gave Bryant a quick 2-0 lead as he hammered a two-run shot to left just two batters into the game.
- Zyons would bump the lead to 3-1 with a solo home run to right in the fourth.
- UMass Lowell, however, would tie the game with single runs in the fifth and sixth. In the fifth, a single, a ground out and two wild pitches produced a run. In the sixth, a fly ball with two outs dropped between the Bryant outfielders to score the tying run.
- The River Hawks then took the lead, 4-3, on a Martinez home run in the bottom of the eighth.
- Bryant rallied to tie the game in the top of the ninth. Wyers doubled to center and Zyons was HBP to put two on with one out. Shea Grady then singled to right but Martinez threw out Wyers at home for the second out. A wild pitch, however, allowed Zyons to score the tying run.
- In the bottom of the ninth, there were two outs and none on after Cam Papetti threw out a runner stealing. Scott, however, walked and then was going on the pitch when Kelly singled to right center.
