SMITHFIELD, R.I.- Zac Amend tallied his third straight hat-trick and Jack Lonsinger logged his 100th career point, helping lead the Bryant men's lacrosse team to a 12-7 victory over UMBC on Saturday at Beirne Stadium.
With the win, the Black and Gold improve to 2-1 in America East and 5-4 overall. Bryant will head on the road to battle NJIT on Saturday, Apr. 5. Face-off is set for 12:00 p.m.
Amend finished with four points (3g, 1a) finishing with a hat trick for the third straight game. John Tomsheck scored a goal late in the fourth and finished with three points (1g, 2a). Jack Lonsinger potted a pair of goals, including a late score in the first half, giving him the 100th point of his collegiate career.

- Zac Amend caught the Retrievers defense sleeping and fired a laser from midfield at an open cage, tying the game at one with 10:50 in the first.
- Patrick Walsh dove around the right side of the crease at the 6:55 mark in the first, giving the Bulldogs their first lead of the day.
- Luca Elmaleh navigated a sea of defenders and found Amend for his second goal of the day with 6:42 to go in the first.
- With the shot clock expiring, Max Dantona netted his eighth goal of the year, firing a shot towards the top right corner of the cage at the 3:30 mark in the first.
- UMBC scored two goals to end the opening period, bringing Bryant's lead to one. Conner Layden and Jordan Galloway each had goals for the Retrievers.

- Ryan Demato scored an unassisted goal for the Retrievers with 2:05 remaining in the second quarter.
