SMITHFIELD, R.I.- JJ Murphy won 20-of-27 faceoffs while Dawson Rielly and Zac Amend tallied hat tricks helping the Bryant men's lacrosse team to a 13-12 victory over the Binghamton Bearcats on Senior Day.
With the win, the Black and Gold improve to 4-1 in America East play and 8-4 overall. The Bulldogs also officially clinch a spot in the 2025 America East Conference playoffs. Bryant will close out the regular season at UMass Lowell on Saturday, Apr. 26. Face-off is set for 12:00 p.m.
Brian Russell led the team in scoring finishing with four points (2g, 2a) on the day. Dawson Rielly recorded his seventh hat trick of the season, finishing with three goals against the Bearcats. Amend logged the fifth hat trick of his breakout rookie season tallying three goals while also scooping three ground balls.
JJ Murphy put together a phenomenal showing at the faceoff X, winning 20-of-27 draws and collecting 11 ground balls. Scott Einarson registered double-digit assists for the eighth time this year, ending the day with 13 against Binghamton.
Tanner Alexander led non-faceoff specialists with seven ground balls. He and Drew Lucas would each record two caused turnovers on the day. With a pair of CT's today Lucas is now just four caused turnovers away from tying the Division I career record of 85 (Matt Murnane, 2009-10).

- The Bulldogs struck early on Saturday as Zac Amend created space with a swim move near the crease and stuck a shot in the top shelf of the cage just 57 seconds into the game.
- Max Dantona extended Bryant's lead to 2-0 after rifling a shot past Binghamton's Connor Winters at 12:28.
- Binghamton's Colin DeLay broke the shutout at 10:27 in the first with an unassisted goal.
- Dawson Rielly received a pass from Patrick Walsh and scored at 8:34 in the first, crashing toward the right side of the cage and burying a shot in the top right corner.
- Brian Russell would score a highlight reel goal with 5:27 remaining in the opening quarter. Owen West set up the play with a touch pass to Russell who absorbed contact and shoveled a no-look behind the back shot past Binghamton's goalie.
- With time expiring in the first, the Bearcats' Gavin Jacobsen closed out the first with an unassisted goal.
- At the 13:20 mark of the second quarter, Liam Ferris found Andrew Girolamo for a Binghamton score, narrowing Bryant's lead to one.
- Defenseman Drew Lucas expanded his skillset and assisted Dawson Rielly for his second goal of the day at 12:13 in the second.
- John Tomsheck dished a pass to Luca Elmaleh who stepped through and fired home his ninth goal of the year.
- Beginning at the 7:28 mark of the second, the Bearcats would go on a 4-0 scoring run that spanned 6:32 and held Bryant scoreless for the remainder of the half. As a result of the offensive surge, Binghamton would go into the half leading 7-6.
