BRYANT DEFEATS BENTLEY 42-6 IN THE HOME OPENER ON SATURDAY NIGHT

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Zyheem Collick had his second consecutive multi-touchdown game as the Bryant University football team defeated Bentley 42-6 in the home opener and the reveal of the Navigant Credit Union Field House on Saturday night at Beirne Stadium.
 
Collick caught a touchdown pass and recovered a blocked punt for another as the Bulldogs defeated the Falcons for the fourth-straight time. Tristen Riley hauled in a touchdown, while Elijah Elliott, Grant Robinson, and Dylan Kedzior all tallied rushing TDs. Bryant outgained Bentley, 395-170.
 
Michael Otty, Michael Grant, and Max Villar all had a sack, while Sean Hunt recorded an interception.

 How it Happened
  • The Bulldogs' special teams unit broke the 0-0 tie, with Andre Smith blocking the punt and Zyheem Collick scooping it for the touchdown on the two-yard line in the first quarter (7-0).
  • The Black and Gold then led a 13-play drive to end the first quarter, which was capped off by an eight-yard TD pass to Tristen Riley in the left corner of the endzone (14-0). The drive also saw an 18-yard pass to Collick and a 17-yard pass to Aldrich Doe.
  • Collick continued his great first half with a 20-yard TD pass from Myer with one minute remaining in the half to give the Bulldogs a 21-0 lead heading into the second half. Elijah Elliott got Bryant into the red zone with a 22-yard rush up the middle.
  • Grant Robinson began the second half with three rushes and a 15-yard one-handed catch, which resulted in a one-yard rushing TD (28-0).
  • Bentley countered with a 62-yard TD pass to Isaiah Osgood to get on the board (28-6).
  • The Bulldogs continued their momentum with a 32-yard rushing TD from Elijah Elliott up the right side to begin the fourth quarter (35-6).
