COACH GARLACY'S COMMENTS
"Tonight, we let unforced errors get the best of us. Melis Isik and Hannah Jackson came off the bench to give us a spark, but we just weren't consistent tonight."

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • SET 1 – The Big Green got off to a strong start in the first set, taking the 15-8 lead into the first media timeout. Natalie Ricevuto chalked up a pair of kills for the Bulldogs and Brookelyn Talmadge and Arianna Ugolini each added a kill. Bryant's offense came to life after the media timeout, as London Hunt, Brookelyn Talmadge, and Arianna Ugolini each pounded a kill to cut the deficit to 16-12. Dartmouth stayed in front, however, going up 22-16 late and forcing a Bryant timeout. Arianna Ugolini recorded a pair of kills to keep Bryant alive and trimmed the deficit to 24-20, prompting a Dartmouth timeout. The momentum carried over for the Bulldogs, winning the next three points to pull within one, 24-23. Brookelyn Talmadge tallied a kill and a block assist with Natalie Ricevuto. Despite the late push from Bryant, Dartmouth finished off the first set 25-23.
  • SET 2 – The Bulldogs flipped the script in the second set, jumping out to a 10-5 lead, forcing a Big Green timeout. The strong start was powered by a trio of kills from Arianna Ugolini. Despite a strong counter from Dartmouth, Bryant began to pull away, taking a 21-15 lead with Arianna Ugolini reaching 11 kills, forcing another Dartmouth timeout. Arianna Ugolini continued to thrive, adding a pair of kills to inch Bryant closer to the second set victory, 23-15. The Bulldogs had trouble putting away the Big Green however, as they made it 24-19 and forced a Bulldogs timeout. Bryant put it away with a kill from Ruth Ochelli to seal the second set 25-19 and tie the match at a set a piece.
  • SET 3 – The Big Green jumped out to an 8-5 lead in the third set. They extended their lead to 14-8, forcing a Bryant timeout. The Bulldogs got some life after the time as London Hunt, Natalie Ricevuto, and Ruth Ochelli each tapped home a kill to cut the deficit to 17-12. Bryant continued to play from behind but stayed within reach of Dartmouth, trimming the deficit to 19-16 with a pair of kills from Natalie Ricevuto and Arianna Ugolini, prompting a Dartmouth timeout. The momentum carried over for Bryant, tying the score at twenty-two a piece as Nina Gavin and Arianna Ugolini each recorded a service ace and London Hunt and Ruth Ochelli each added a kill. Bryant then pulled in front 24-23 with a kill from Ruth Ochelli and a Dartmouth attack error, prompting a Dartmouth timeout. The Bulldogs couldn't close it out as the Big Green came out firing after the timeout and won the next three points to secure the third set 26-24.
  • SET 4 – The Big Green grabbed an early 8-5 lead, forcing the Bulldogs to use their first timeout of the set. The Bulldogs responded by pulling in front 11-10 and forcing a Big Green timeout, highlighted by a setter dump from Melis Isik and a service ace and a kill from Arianna Ugolini.  The set continued to be a seesaw battle, as Dartmouth regained the lead 18-16. The Bulldogs pulled within one to trail 22-21 as Hannah Jackson and Arianna Ugolini recorded back-to-back kills.
