SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The No. 20 nationally ranked Bryant women's bowling team returns to action this weekend in the Northeast Classic.
The tournament takes place from Friday-Sunday in New Castle, Delaware, hosted by Sacred Heart.
Bryant owns a 23-13 overall record after competing in three tournaments during the fall semester. In their last tournament, they finished in second place in the Garden State Classic with an 8-5 overall record.
The Bulldogs received their first national ranking in the National Tenpin Coaches Association poll prior to the end of the fall semester.
The Bulldogs were led by two-time ECC player of the week
Olivia Hillman and two-time ECC rookie of the week
Madison Lewis during the fall semester. Hillman leads the team in baker format, scoring 20.67 per frame. Lewis has scored 18.26 per frame in baker format.
Laura Clark was named the ECC preseason player of the year. She had an impressive fall semester, ranking second on the team in baker format, scoring 18.82 per frame.
Bryant will compete in the Griffin Baker Classic in Deptford, NJ (Jan 31-Feb 1) hosted by Chestnut Hill College and the Mount Shootout in Mount Joy, PA (Feb 6-8) before hosting the New England Cup in East Providence, RI on Feb 15.
