Charlie Saul went just 13-for-63 (.206) in his first 22 games last season before closing the year 33-for-100 (.330) in the final 27 games.
Notes and Notables:
- Gavin Greger returns as Bryant's starting centerfielder for the third-straight season this spring. He is coming off a year in which he hit .273 with 15 doubles, two home runs, 34 RBI and 22 runs scored.
- Greger has appeared in 107 games in two seasons at Bryant, collecting 108 hits, 27 doubles, 58 RBI, 60 runs scored and 20 stolen bases. He's been just as good defensively, committing just one error in 245 chances.
- Saul emerged as Bryant's primary right fielder last season, earning America East Second Team honors after hitting .286 with seven doubles, four triples, six home runs, 34 RBI and 32 runs scored. He was even better in America East play, posting a .348 average and a 1.052 OPS in 19 games.
- Kingsbury missed the 2025 season but is primed for a big 2026. He competed in the Futures League last summer for Vermont, hitting .306 (60-196) with eight doubles, four triples, two home runs, 28 RBI and 34 runs scored in 53 games.
- Ferrell, Burkholz and Soroko are all true freshmen this spring. Ferrell has elite speed, Burkholz was a standout at North Broward Prep in Florida and Soroko has great speed and a strong arm from the outfield.
