2026 WOMEN’S LACROSSE SEASON PREVIEW

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University women's lacrosse team begins its 24th season and its third under the direction of head coach Eileen Ferry on Saturday, Feb. 7 when it takes on Sacred Heart University.

The Bulldogs finished the 2025 season with an 11-7 overall record and a 5-1 record against America East Conference opponents. In just its third season in the league the Black and Gold claimed their first-ever share of an America East Regular Season title and earned the No. 1 Seed for the America East Playoffs.
After a remarkable five-goal comeback victory over No. 4 Seed UMBC in the conference semifinals, the top-seeded Bulldogs advanced to its first America East Championship in program history and its first conference championship appearance since 2022. Bryant would finish as the runner-up to the No. 3 Seed UAlbany Great Danes in the 2025 America East Championship.

The Black and Gold enter the 2026 season ranked second in the America East Preseason Coaches Poll. Bryant received two of the league's seven first place votes. Emily DeGeorge, Riley O'Mara, Kaelynn O'Brien and Jessica Tosone were all named to the preseason all-conference team.

OFFENSE

Bryant returns four of its top five top point-scorers from a season ago in 2026. Leading goal scorer and Second Team All-America East selection Emily DeGeorge is back for her senior season with the Bulldogs. DeGeorge recorded a team high 42 goals to go along with seven assists despite missing the final three games of the 2025 season. DeGeorge posted a career high seven goals in the team's win at LIU on Feb. 19. In her final outing of the year, DeGeorge posted seven points (5g, 2a), powering Bryant to a 16-14 victory over Vermont on Apr. 19. DeGeorge would also have seven free-position goals, eight ground balls, and nine caused turnovers.

Riley O'Mara and Gabriella Constant both finished with 30+ goal seasons for the Black and Gold in 2025. O'Mara earned Second All-America East honors after scoring 33 goals and five assists on the offense. She also picked up 18 ground balls and caused 14 turnovers. Constant ended the season with 38 goals and six assists for the Bulldogs. She tallied seven free-position goals on 19 shots and had nine ground balls.
Elise Larsen rounds out the top five from Bryant's offense a season ago. In 18 games, she scored 16 goals and dished out 23 assists. Larsen also added 12 ground balls and eight caused turnovers.

Bryant will be poised to see how midfielders Ashling Marshall and Rylee Slate perform after outstanding freshman campaigns. Marshall finished 2025 with 13 points (10g, 3a) along with five ground balls and three caused turnovers. Six of Marshall's 10 goals last season came off of free-position attempts. Slate registered nine points (5g, 4a) in 17 games last season. Her best performance of the year came in the final game of the season where she tallied three points (2g, 1a) against UAlbany in the America East Championship game.

Malin-Skye Turnquist will look to build off of her sophomore campaign in 2026. In 16 games, she tallied six points (5g, 1a). Turnquist potted a pair of goals for Bryant in the 2025 America East Championship game against UAlbany.

After missing the 2025 season, Kolbi Spencer will look to reestablish herself on Bryant's offensive front. In 2024, Spencer finished with six points (5g, 1a) in 13 games. She also picked up six ground balls and caused two turnovers.

DEFENSE

Kaelynn O'Brien made national attention while anchoring the Bulldogs' defense in 2025. The junior finished sixth in the nation in caused turnovers with 52 across 18 games. She recorded at least one caused turnover in all but two contests and posted multiple caused turnovers in 15 games, including a three-game stretch averaging five per contest against Dartmouth, Rhode Island and Holy Cross. O'Brien also secured 61 draw controls, collected 40 ground balls, and added seven points (3g, 4a) offensively.

Jessica Tosone garnered similar national recognition on the defensive end. She finished the season ranked 17th nationally in ground balls, scooping 55 in 18 games. Tosone ranked second on the team in caused turnovers with 45 and added 52 draw controls. She also scored two goals on offense.

Jessica Wilhelm served as a dynamic piece of the Black and Gold's defense recording 18 caused turnovers and scooping 17 ground balls. Wilhelm has started all but one game in her 26 games of collegiate lacrosse. In two years with the Bulldogs, she has amassed 37 caused turnovers, 37 ground balls, and 30 draw controls.
Kelly Ford will look to carry a terrific 2025 campaign into her senior year. In 16 games last season, Ford tallied 28 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers. Over the course of her three seasons in Smithfield, she has totaled 69 ground balls and 31 caused turnovers.

GOALIE

The Bulldogs will see a new primary face in cage this season following the graduation of All-America East goalie Sam Centofante
Sophomore Sierra Donis saw the most time of any Bulldog returner last season. In three games between the pipes, she allowed six goals while saving five and scooping two ground balls. Donis tallied three saves against UMBC.

Junior Isabella Cardi has seen action in six games in two seasons. The bulk of her playing time came during the 2024 season where she appeared in four games and posted a statline of two saves, and four ground balls. Cardi's lone appearance of 2025 came against UMBC.

Bryant's goalie room is rounded out by freshman Charlotte Pithie. The Norwell, Massachusetts native joins the Bulldogs following a standout high school career that saw her start for all four seasons and was named a captain during her senior season. Pithie played club for Boston Laxachusetts.

DRAW

The Bulldogs return multiple key pieces to its draw unit in 2026. O'Brien led the Black and Gold last season with 61 draw controls. She would secure four or more draws in eight of her 18 games played last season.

Tosone was second on the team in draw controls last season, notching 52 in 18 games. She won a season high eight draws in a 19-5 victory over Rhode Island. Tosone had five or more draw controls five times last year.

Bryant will also look to continued contributions from O'Mara, Wilhelm DeGeorge, Larsen, and Slate, all of whom stepped up in the draw circle last season. Sara Tesche also saw action in select games as a FOGO.
