LEXINGTON, Ky. - Aiden Guarneri competed in the first day of the 2026 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships East Region First Round this morning. 

The hammer and javelin events were rescheduled four hours earlier in the day to accommodate for anticipated weather.

Guarneri recorded a mark of 59.70 meters and finished in 42nd place.

Wednesday's performance capped a historic year for Guarneri, as he established the men's javelin all-time school record, earned four top-three placements and became the first thrower in DI program history to compete at the NCAA First Round.

Jasmine Trott will compete for the Black and Gold in the women's 10k on Thursday, May 28 at 9:10 p.m.
