Biography

Petosa joined the Bulldogs as a transfer from Wake Forest in the fall of 2021.

2024 (Senior at Bryant)

  • Second Team All-America East ... America East Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
  • Bryant's everyday first baseman ... Only player to start all 57 games.
  • Enjoyed a career year in which he hit .320 with 22 doubles, 14 home runs, 60 RBI and 55 R.
  • Also walked 44 times, was hit 15 times and finished with a .473 OBP ... Also had a 1.113 OPS.
  • Reached base safely in all 57 games and ended the year on a 60-game on-base streak dating back to 2023 ... Longest streak in program history.
  • Hit .158 (6-38) in the first 14 games of the season ... Walked 19 times and still had a .476 OBP.
  • Went on to hit .358 (58-162) with 20 doubles, 13 home runs and 52 RBI in his final 43 games.
  • Petosa's 22 doubles are tied for fourth in a single season in DI program history, while his 14 home runs are the second-most (behind Noriega's 18).
  • Petosa also became just the fourth player in DI program history with 60+ RBI in a season.
  • With his two homers in the AE Championship, Petosa became the DI program leader with 28 career home runs.

  • Finished at .302 with seven doubles, six home runs, 23 RBI and 24 runs scored ... Posted a .986 fielding percentage ... Ended with a .443 OBP
  • Started the year just 6-for-41 ... Followed that by going 32-for-85 the rest of the way
  • Had two hits and three RBI at Brown on Mar. 30 to start the streak
  • Hit his first home run the following game at CCSU
  • Two hits and three RBI vs URI on Apr. 5
  • Missed eight games with an injury before returning on Apr. 22
  • Homered twice and collected seven hits in a weekend series at Mount
