As a senior: Took over as Bryant's everyday third baseman and had the most productive season of his career ... Appeared in and started 52 of a possible 55 games ... Hit .246 (44-179) with 13 doubles, 23 RBI and 16 runs scored ... All numbers were career highs ... Doubled in back-to-back games against Arkansas ... Two-out, two-run game-tying single in the ninth at Hartford on Mar. 21 ... Two hits, a double and an RBI vs. Sacred Heart on Apr. 2 ... Doubled twice in the same inning in Bryant's win over No. 25 UConn ... Game-winning two-run double in the eighth against LIU Brooklyn on Easter Sunday ... Drove in three runs at CCSU on Apr. 23 ... Missed the final month of the season with an injury.

As a freshman: Saw time at short and third in his first season with the Bulldogs … Appeared in 23 games, making five starts … Went 1-for-15 with three runs scored and two stolen bases … Posted an .852 fielding percentage … Made his collegiate debut as a defensive replacement against Maryland on Feb. 23 … Earned his first-career start the following weekend at USC Upstate … Picked up his first collegiate hit and scored a run against the Spartans on Mar. 2 … Stole his first base of the season on Apr. 6 against Stony Brook … Scored a run against CCSU and Wagner.

Before Bryant: A two-year varsity letterwinner at BC High, Marotta helped the Eagles to a Catholic Conference championship in 2012 ... The Eagles starting shortstop, Marotta hit .345 with a .435 on-base percentage and a .517 slugging percentage ... This past summer was a member of the North East Rays team that finished 16th out 236 teams at the East Cobb (Ga.) World Wood Bat Classic ... Selected to play in the Summer Rivalry Classic where he was named to the all-tournament team and an all-star hitter ... Played for the North East Mudhens in the summer of 2013 ...
