Morgan Williams begins his first season on Jamion Christian's staff in 2025-26. He will serve as head of player development and advanced scouting.
Williams comes to Smithfield after spending the last three seasons at Seton Hall.. He has played key roles in Shaheen Holloway's program along with his duties as video coordinator. He helped organize team travel, team meals, and was the point person for Shaheen Holloway Basketball camps. His efforts helped Seton Hall men's basketball student-athletes achieve at least 10 wins in BIG EAST in two of his three seasons. Williams played an integral role with the 2023-24 Seton Hall Pirates that went 25-12 overall, 13-7 in the BIG EAST and won the 2024 NIT Championship.
Williams previously served as Holloway's Director of Player Development/Recruiting Coordinator last at Saint Peter's. He also served as an assistant coach at Mount Aloysius College for three seasons. Prior to his time at Mount Aloysius, he worked on the staff of Mount St. Mary's University as head student manager from 2015-2018 and also served as a coordinator for the basketball's team camp. While at Mount St. Mary's, Williams helped coaches in practice, games and conditioning sessions. Williams graduated from Mount St. Mary's in 2018 with a degree in communications with a concentration in public relations.
