Mary Ellen Clark begins her second season with the Bulldogs in 2025-26.
2024-25:
Clark's first season saw both Megan Beasley and Christopher Buonocore qualify for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships. Beasley earned a silver medal in the 1 meter at the America East Championships, while Buonocore earned a silver medal in the 1 meter and a bronze in the 3 meter.
Mary Ellen Clark is a two-time Olympic medalist, earning bronze in diving at the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games. A dominant figure in American diving, she is a seven-time national champion and a ten-time member of the U.S. national team. With over 40 years of coaching experience at various levels, including age group, high school, and collegiate, Mary Ellen has established herself as an influential and successful coach.
As a collegiate diver at Penn State, Mary Ellen won seven out of eight conference championships on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards and was a four-time All-American. Her success in college laid the foundation for her pursuit of Olympic dreams, where she trained under renowned coach Ron O'Brien, an eight-time Olympic coach. At Amherst College, Mount Holyoke, and Wellesley College, Mary Ellen maintained a remarkable 100% track record of bringing her divers to nationals, with many achieving top-eight finishes.
