Bio

Keith Martinous begins his 13th year on the Bryant staff in 2025-26 as the Bulldogs' volunteer assistant coach.

Martinous comes to Smithfield with a wealth of volleyball knowledge, both as a player and a coach. An East Providence High School graduate, Martinous earned back-to-back All-State honors in 1989 and 1990. At Roger Williams, he was named Team Rookie of the Year during the 1991-92 season, ranking 9th in the NCAA in blocks per game. After graduating from Rhode Island College in 1996, Martinous spent stints as the East Providence High School Assistant Varsity/JV Boys head coach and the EP Assistant Varsity girls head coach where he was a part of four state titles. He also spent a year as the RIC Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach in 2010.

"Keith has such a vast knowledge of the game and has a passion for both playing and coaching," said Garlacy. "He brings a wide variety of coaching experience to Bryant."

"His love for the game and love of sharing it with others brings balance and enthusiasm to the coaching staff. "

Martinous currently serves as the boys head varsity coach at East Providence (since 2002). The three-time RIIL Division I Coach of the Year ('07, '08, '09) helped lead the Townies to a 2008 Division I State Title. 

Martinous earned his bachelor's degree from Rhode Island College in 1996.
