BRYANT DEFEATS AIC 16-5 IN WOMEN'S LACROSSE
SMITHFIELD, RI - Marisa Lawrence had three goals and three assists while Amanda Gallant and Lauren Carlisle each had three goals apiece to lead the Bryant University women's lacrosse team to a 16-5 win over American International here Tuesday. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 7-2 overall and 4-1 in the Northeast-10 Conference.
AIC (1-5, 1-3 NE-10), which trailed Bryant 10-0 at the half, scored five second-half goals as Shannon Burke and Lindsey Wolfe each netted two goals and Caitlin Mooney added a lone tally for the Yellow Jackets.
Bryant starting goalie Samantha Libby had eight saves in the game while Ashley Cope added a save in the final seven minutes. The Bulldogs will travel to Assumption on Thursday afternoon. The game will be played at Worcester State College.
