RI - The Bryant University women's soccer
team welcomed third ranked Franklin Pierce to Bulldog stadium on a
sunny Saturday afternoon. Franklin Pierce won the game 2-0. Bryant
falls to 3-2-2 overall and 0-1-1 in Northeast-10 Conference
play.
The match was back and forth with multiple scoring chances for the
entire first half and some of the second half. Senior Laura
Hislop (Belfast, Northern Ireland) ended the drought for
the Ravens by scoring at 66:52. Less than a minute later, it was
Hislop again on a breakaway and fired the ball into the back of the
net to give Franklin Pierce a 2-0 lead. 
Freshman Jessica Neales (Swansea, MA) went the
distance for the Bulldogs saving four shots. Sophomore keeper
Jenna Mello (Londonderry, NH) saved five shots for
the Ravens.
The Bulldogs will visit Bentley on Tuesday, September 13 with a
scheduled game time start of 3:30pm.
