Albany, N.Y. - The Bryant University Women's Soccer team dropped
a tough game Wednesday afternoon 2-1 in overtime to fifth-ranked
Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y.
Senior captain Casey Grange
(Methuen,
Mass.) scored her 12th goal of
the season to tie it at one in the 72nd minute when she chipped the
ball over St. Rose goaltender Lauren Steinberg from 18-yards out.
But Deanna Wachtel headed an Ashley McGuire corner kick past
Bulldogs goaltender Jessica Neales
(Swansea,
Mass.) in the 103rd
minute for the 2-1 win.
Grange now needs one more goal to tie the Bryant University
record for goals scored in a season and in a career.
Bryant (8-6-1, 5-4-1 NE-10) will visit Assumption Saturday (11
a.m.)
