Bulldogs Drop Season Opener
Lakeland, FL - The Bryant University softball team began their
2006 campaign with a trip to Florida to face off with six different
teams. Southern Arkansas defeated Bryant in game one 5-3 followed
by an 11-2 defeat by Tampa. The Bulldogs resume play today with
games against Armstrong and Delta State.
Senior captain Jordan Dargon (Trumbull, CT)
went 1-3 in game one with a run scored and a RBI. Junior
Lindsay Connor (West Haven, CT) went 1-4 with a
run scored and a stolen base. In the night cap, junior
Amanda Wilbur (Lakeville, MA) led the Bulldog
attack going 2-3 including a solo homerun. Junior Amanda
Gagne (Wilbraham, MA) also added a solo homerun for
Bryant.
